For all online reservations, we accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, UATP, AirPlus, Discovery.

Is online purchasing through the flyopenskies.com site secure?
Of course! The confidentiality of your data is a priority to us. Our entire site, including online payments, is based on SSL technology (Secure Socket Layer), which assures encryption of your data, thus keeping your online payments 100% secure.

Why was payment with my bank card rejected?
The valid date of your bank card may have expired. Verify whether your type of card is accepted by our reservation program. Make sure to have correctly entered the required numbers, without incorrect punctuation or spaces.

How do I know that my reservation is confirmed?
After clicking "confirm my reservation" at the end of the order process, a page will open in which you'll find your locator number and other information regarding your flight. We recommend that you print that page. Within the hour you will receive an e-mail confirmation which summarizes your reservation as well. If you need any assistance, please contact us:

Is it possible to book a plane ticket for someone else?
Yes, you can reserve a plane ticket for another person. Enter the required data for the passenger including his/her e-mail address, so the electronic ticket can be sent to the correct traveler.

What happens if I lose my e-mail confirmation?
If you lose your e-mail confirmation, contact our call center at 1 866 581-3596.

How do I get my plane tickets?

The company does not issue paper tickets. The system will provide you with an electronic ticket by e-mail for reservations made online or via our call center.

How do I find the best fare?
The site has been designed so the best fare at that moment is always the one featured when making an Internet reservation.

I am pregnant. Can I still fly?
When making a booking, make sure to inform us of your pregnancy so we can make sure you get the special attention necessary. You can contact us at:

If your pregnancy is developing normally, you may travel without a medical certificate up to the end of your 28th week of pregnancy. After that time, you will need a written medical consent from your physician. In case of an expected or confirmed difficult pregnancy, you will need to obtain your physician’s medical consent regardless of the term. Pregnant passengers will not be permitted onboard after the 36th week of a single pregnancy or after the 32nd week of a multiple pregnancy.

For the sake of your safety and well-being we strongly advice that you come provided with a written explanation indicating the term of your pregnancy.

If I cancel my ticket, will I be reimbursed?
For all reimbursements, please consult the rules on refunds applicable to your type of fare. The fare may be modified, but it may incur a penalty.

Medication in carry-on baggage

Can I take my essential medication in my carry-on baggage?
Yes. Essential medication in liquid form (prescription or over the counter) should be carried in carry-on baggage. Customers may be asked to prove that the medicine is for an individual traveling and is required during the flight.
Medicines in non-liquid form may be carried in carry-on baggage as normal, provided they fit into a bag no bigger than 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm (22 x 17.5 x 9.85 inches)

Does essential liquid medicine need to be placed in a clear plastic bag?
We would advise customers to carry all liquids in the clear plastic bag. However, if you need more than 100 mL in Europe (3 fl. oz. in the US) of essential liquid medicine during your flight this may be carried separately in your carry-on baggage and declared to the TSA inspector in the USA. Customers may be asked to prove that the medicine is for an individual traveling and is required during the flight.

Should I check my insulin in the hold?
No, it is recommended practice to always carry your total supply of insulin in your carry-on baggage.

Can I take a specially prepared drink if I have an allergy or special dietary requirement?
Yes, provided it is for a medical reason.
Non-medical related drink preparations may be taken through security in quantities of no more than 100 mL in Europe (3 fl. oz. in the U.S.) and carried in the clear plastic bag.

Can I take walking aids such as wheelchairs/canes onboard?
Yes. All walking aids will be x-ray screened.

Travelling with children

Can I take a separate bag for my children?
Yes Infants are allowed one checked bag and one carry on bag plus a stroller and a car seat. Each carry on must comply with dimensions 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (22 x17.5 x 9.85 inches).

Can I take my car seat onboard for my children?
Yes.

Can I take my pushchair (stroller) through security?
Yes. All pushchairs must be x-ray screened.

Can I take soft toys, games and activities to keep my children amused during the flight?
Yes, provided the items fit into a bag no bigger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (22 x17.5 x 9.85 inches). Babies and children are allowed one bag each.

Can I take baby food/milk onboard?
Yes, but in the USA, TSA security officers will inspect it.

Does my baby milk and food have to be placed in the clear plastic bag?
No. If it is in quantities less than 100 mL in Europe (3 fl. oz. in the U.S.), we advise you to carry it in a clear plastic bag.

Can I take spare clothing and nappies (diapers) for my children?
Yes, provided the items are not prohibited and fit into a bag no bigger than 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm (22 x 17.5 x 9.85 inches). Infants can have one piece of carry-on baggage.

Can I purchase duty free once I have cleared security?
Yes. Any liquid items you wish to carry (over the 100ml-Europe or 3 fluid ounces USA) can only be purchased once you have complete security checks. Note that bottles of wines, etc., purchased in the duty free areas can be carried with you on board. If you are making arrangements for a connecting flight - then these items will only be allowed to travel in checked luggage.

PNR DATA - IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Where can I find details of the access to OpenSkies booking records by governments?
Under U.S. Law, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will receive certain travel and reservation information, known as Passenger European Union and the U.S. CBP has undertaken that it uses this PNR data (Passenger Name Record data) about passengers flying between the for the purposes of preventing and combating terrorism and other transnational serious crimes. The PNR may include information provided during the booking process or held by airlines or travel agents. The information will be retained for up to 15 years and may be shared with other authorities. Airlines are also required by other Governments to provide passenger data to the border control authorities. Accordingly any information we hold about you and your travel arrangements may be disclosed to the customs, immigration and police authorities of any country in your itinerary, and possibly on occasions, to countries not in your itinerary.

What data do you hold about me which may be accessed?
We hold data about you which we require for the purpose of conducting business with you. This may include details you have told us about any medical, disability, or health conditions you may have; payment details; contact information; and, any special requirements you have specified

Who will you pass the data to, and who will they share it with?
The data will be given to the Border Control authorities, for example, Customs, of countries which have a legal right to acquire the data. They may share it with other enforcement authorities for the purposes of preventing and combating terrorism and other serious criminal offences.

What if I refuse you permission to release my data to the authorities?
If you are flying to or through a country which requires the information, we will have to cancel your reservation and will be unable to carry you to or through that country.

Which countries have legislation to permit access to my PNR data?
At present, there is a requirement in several countries including Australia, Canada, UK and the USA which require carriers to grant access to passenger information. Other countries may follow in the future.

What will the authorities be using the data for?
Data is used for enforcement purposes, including use in threat analysis to identify and interdict potential terrorists, and other threats to national and public security; and to focus government resources on high risk concerns, thereby facilitating and safeguarding bona-fide travelers.

Are my credit card details included?
If payment has been made by credit card and this data is included in your passenger information record, the authorities may view details.

How long is data held?
Each country should hold the data for no longer than is required for the purpose for which it was stored.

Will the data be transmitted in a secure fashion?
Yes, OpenSkies will pass the data to the authorities by secure means.
