What makes you a real paryorker? Office & Bicycle in NY / Girlfriend & Scooter in Paris.

How did you become one? See above…

Do you know any other paryorkers? Lionel Bensemoun, André, Olivier Zahm, Stephan Crasneanscki, Violaine Gillibert, Wes Anderson Steve Gaghan, Nadine Strittmatter, Claude Grunitzky…

What’s the difference between the New-Yorker you and the Parisian you? The New Yorker works way too much, The Parisian works way too little. Both are ok by me. The New Yorker rides a bicycle, the Parisian a scooter. People in NY believe life presents you with problems whereas Parisians believe life presents you with dilemmas. The difference is that while problems can be solved dilemmas can only be examined or investigated.

What images do these two cities bring to mind? Almost all cinematic – NY is “Taxi Driver”, “Dog Day Afternoon”, “Midnight Cowboy”, “Manhattan”, “Naked City”, “Do The Right Thing”, “Shadows”, “After Hours”… Paris is “Le Samouraï”, “A Bout De Souffle”, “Two Or Three Things I Know About Her”, “Last Tango In Paris”. “Diva, “Les Amants Du Pont-Neuf”,… and Claude Lelouch’s “Rendez-vous” - a masterpiece!

What are the myths you relate to Paris? Café Flore as intellectual and culture centre of the world! Camus, Sartre, Hemingway, Capa, Cartier Bresson, Vian, Godard, Montand, Belmondo etc…

What is your fondest memory of Paris? La Jetée, Room 205, Hotel Amour. January 2008.

What’s the first thing you do when you set foot in Paris? Hotel Amour, Oeuf Coquette, Bath, Le Baron, …

And the last one, when you leave? Same thing in reverse.

What’s the best time of day for you in Paris? The night.

Do you fave a Paris ritual? Sunday afternoons at Café Flore.

What excites you about Paris? Romance, style and attitude.

What annoys you about Paris? Nothing. Seriously!
